I would like to say a massive thank you to Jools and Callum Hale in particular who have spent an enormous amount of time and effort preparing the wicket and areas in between the football pitches so all our youngsters

As we edge nearer to summer, Hemingford Park Cricket Club have been working hard on a much needed reset and are planning a busy summer of cricket when the season begins in May.
Hemingford U9s played brilliantly on Sunday to secure 2nd place at county club finals day on a hot Septembers day in Peterborough. A hugely impressive all round bowling display clinched a nail biting semi final against a talented Huntingdon CC. In the final Hemingford restricted Peterborough CC's classy batsmen well initially but the batting let them down a little against some really high quality opposition. A great mornings cricket was brought to a close as they were each awarded a well deserved silver medal rounding off a very impressive season for Hemingford Park's youngest age group. Ethan, Charlie, Sammy, Luca, Harry and Eddie Batting first in the semi final vs Huntingdon, Hemingford batted OK, but struggled more than they were used to

Despite raining on and off throughout the day, the parents vs kids game went ahead on a sticky wicket that made batting difficult. Highlight of the day seemed to be a glorious straight drive for four from the bowling of his son Harry. But the very next ball Fowler Snr went for the same big shot missed it and over went his middle stump, much to the delight of Fowler Junior. Martin got one back for the parents, getting Rupert out but Ed showed his dad Will how its done with a great ball which made a mess of his dad's stumps. The family rivalry kept coming over after over for what was a lot of fun and £240 going towards
It was great to see such strong interest in the parents vs kids fundraiser, Monday 17th May. So many in fact we couldn't fit you all in so watch this space for a second game with priority given to those who missed out the last time. Format softball pairs where each player will bowl 2 overs, bat 4 overs with minus points every time you are out. We will match bowlers / batters to parents / children to make it interesting! Remember that the entry fee is £20 per parent / child pairing, all going towards the club's ambition of funding an artificial strip. Bank details will be available for a transfer. We have decided not to go ahead with a

It really helps if you are able to come along to the sign on day so we can get all of the admin out of the way before games and training begins, but please
