I'm pleased to announce that Tim Chambers is to start up All Stars from Wednesday 22nd July (tomorrow!). The sessions will last 6 weeks weather permitting each Wednesday from 6pm at the pavilion. We will of course be following the ECB COVID-19 guidelines so be prepared for sanitiser. If you didn't register via the official All Stars website earlier this year, then you are still welcome to attend. We will be taking club registrations at £10 per child, just fill in the standard junior section application form and bring it with you at your first session. If you have your official All stars kit from this year or a previous year, then please bring it with you and wear the t-shirts. All
As we weren't able to field an U15 side this year, we have teamed up with Over CC who are keen to provide a home for Hemingford lads that want to play. Details in the picture below.
We are just about ready to belatedly get going with the new season, starting with the U11s tomorrow night 6pm. Membership has been reduced to £10 to reflect the shortened season. Please fill in a membership form and bring it with you with payment at your first session. We have already started planning a few fixtures, I've entered them into an online calendar here http://www.hpcc.co.uk/events/ . We would like to use WhatsApp groups for all communication as it makes things much easier for coaches, but please let us know if you would rather not be part of a dedicated group for your age group. We absolutely encourage parents to get involved and help out with coaching, scoring and umpiring. But please speak with a coach first so we can
The government have given the go ahead to restart recreational cricket from 11th July. As a result, we will be starting up some training and hopefully get a few friendly games organised before the season is out. Please can you reply to me if you intend to come along? It is important we have an idea of numbers so we can plan and prepare accordingly and try to put some COVID-19 risk mitigation measures in place. Please also download and fill in the membership form then bring it with you at your first session. There will be a revised membership fee reflecting the much shorter season, but we haven't yet decided what that will be. U9s (Years 3 & 4)Keelan and Paul will be running training 6pm
I am delighted to be able to introduce Mike Farmer from Aspired Coaching who is an ECB qualified cricket coach and has done a lot of work for Junior Country Cricket in the region. He has volunteered to run an U13s training session at The Pavilion one evening when we get back, in the hope that we have enough interest and we can make an arrangement with Mike to take on U13s cricket in some capacity later this summer. Some of you might recognise him from the County Hotshots sessions that took place before Christmas. For those of you with kids who are itching to get back into cricket, government and ECB guidelines now allow 1:1 outdoor training sessions to take place. Mike is available to
UPDATE - Because of the coronavirus lockdown all sport including cricket is suspended until further notice. If and when we can play cricket this summer, further information will be provided. Summer is just around the corner and junior cricket in Hemingford is back from May. I've now taken on the role of Youth Team coordinator after Simon had to step down due to work commitments. I'm sure you will all join me in thanking Simon for the fantastic service he has given to the club and your children over the last few years. Summary (in case you haven't got time to read the rest of the email) U9 & U11 Sign on Day is Wednesday 22nd April at 6pm (see form here)5 year
